Anxiety

Anxiety

When your mind won’t stop bracing for what could go wrong, life gets very small.

Everyone feels anxious sometimes — before a presentation, a big decision, a hard conversation. But if worry has become your constant background noise, if your body stays tense and your sleep is restless, if you’ve started avoiding people, places, or opportunities just to keep the anxiety quiet — that’s not “just stress.” That’s anxiety running the show, and it’s treatable.

Anxiety can look like racing thoughts and worst-case scenarios. It can also look like perfectionism, irritability, procrastination, a pounding heart, or the exhausting feeling of never being able to fully relax. However it shows up for you, it makes sense — and it can change.

How I can help

Anxiety therapy works, and it usually works faster than people expect. In our sessions, we will:

Understand your anxiety’s logic. Anxiety is your mind trying to protect you. We’ll look at where that protective instinct came from and why it’s working overtime.

Change your relationship with anxious thoughts. Through cognitive behavioral therapy, you’ll learn to catch the thought patterns that fuel anxiety — catastrophizing, mind-reading, “what-ifs” — and respond to them differently.

Calm the body, not just the mind. Anxiety lives in the nervous system. You’ll learn practical tools to settle your body when it’s stuck in alarm mode.

Reclaim what you’ve been avoiding. Step by step, at your pace, we’ll expand your life back to its full size.

You don’t have to white-knuckle your way through every day. There is a calmer, freer way to live, and I’d be honored to help you find it.
